We recommend early morning hours, when the sun is less harsh on freshly-cut sod.- Keep it shaded. The hot Sacramento sun is hard on fresh sod. No matter what time of day you schedule your delivery, make sure your sod is placed in the shade.
- Keep cut sod hydrated. If your sod installation takes longer than a few hours, it’s important to keep the roots wet. Lightly spray sod pallets along the sides to prevent your grass from drying out or turning brown.
